START Fitness offers five classes per week at our Bush Street location. Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday from 6:00-7:00AM and 7:00AM-8:00AM. Although there are over 100 different lessons for our program, a typical week looks like the following:
Monday: Indoor class that focuses primarily on your upper body muscular strength and overall aerobic conditioning using body weight and resistance training with rubber tubing
Tuesday: Outdoor distance runs leave from the studio and take place outside throughout greater San Francisco (ranging from 2-5 miles over the course of the hour)
Wednesday: Indoor class exercises built on teamwork, obstacle courses, circuit fitness training, and partner-assisted exercises
Thursday: 30-minutes of high-intensity indoor aerobic conditioning, and 30-minutes of outdoor jogging and sprint drills
Friday: Indoor class targeting strength and aerobic conditioning using TRX, tubing, weights and bodyweight exercises

Amazing workouts. PERIOD. You won′t get bored, You will get in great shape (if you consistently attend). I′ve never been much of a runner, but after a few months of taking the Start Fitness classes, I′ve begun to appreciate the benefits of running, and in a sick sort of a way, look forward to the Tues & Thursday runs. The instructors are fantastic. To me, there′s nothing more de-motivating than seeing an instructor that is out of shape and apathetic. None of that going on at Start! The instructors are in incredible shape, and do a great job of motivating you, and pushing you to the next level without being intimidating.
