Since 1998, SGT Ken of START Fitness has led 5000+ civilians through military inspired fitness Boot Camp. "The fact is, discipline works. People pushed to the point of sweat-streaked exhaustion under the command of a hard-nosed commander get real, visible results" raves the SF Downtown Magazine.
The START Fitness program provides a real life answer to the bottom line question, "How do I get and then stay in shape?"
The philosophy of SGT Ken's Boot Camp is Strength, Stamina and Flexibility. The program combines cardiovascular and strength training exercises in a regimented, five-days-a-week program. All classes are 60 minutes and the program is on-going. The program is complete with a fitness test every six months to measure your progress!
Indoor training days focus on developing your strength, muscular definition and stamina. Exercises include pull-ups, push-ups, tubing work and other partner-assisted and body weight exercises.
Running days are focused on developing cardiorespiratory fitness. Designed for individuals of all abilities, running days cater to first time runners as well as marathoners. You will find yourself getting into shape, running faster and further. Our runs are comprised of a mix of steady-paced endurance runs, intervals, hills, stairs and tempo runs all with boot camp flair!

We offer personal boot camp style training programs as well as standard personal training programs for individuals and small groups. Boot Camp Style program and personal training can be personalized to your needs. Our trainers will assist you with the motivation as well as the training!
